Our Beliefs
We believe the Bible is God’s inspired word, and is our ultimate authority in all that is necessary for personal salvation and Christian discipleship.
We believe God is eternally existent as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, three yet mysteriously and miraculously one God.
We believe God created human beings in His image, male and female, but that divine image is distorted by sin. This sin separates us from God both here and hereafter, but God sent Jesus both to die for our sins and to be raised from the dead so that we can be saved eternally. We believe Jesus is God’s only and unique way of salvation.
We believe that personal salvation is received by faith in Jesus Christ. This involves believing that Christ died and was raised, trusting personally in God’s gift of grace, and surrendering control to the lordship of Christ.
We believe that those who have truly received the gift of personal salvation will show evidence of their relationship with God through love for others, works of service, and a virtuous life dedicated to obeying God.
We believe in the church Jesus is building in this and every generation, and encourage all Christians to connect to a local body of believers for spiritual growth, accountability, worship and ministry partnership.
We believe in the new birth by the Holy Spirit, in being filled and empowered by the Spirit, in the Spirit’s fruit and gifts, and in being the temple of the Holy Spirit both as individuals and as the church.
We believe that Jesus commissioned His disciples to go into all the world to both evangelize those who need to know Him and train in discipleship those who do.
We believe in the return of Jesus Christ to the earth, and that one day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess Jesus Christ as Lord.
