"Accept the Grace"
Trying, always trying,
To earn it, that’s no lying,
But living feels like dying,
If you can’t accept the grace.
Though we know His favor,
It’s always there to savor,
But back and forth we waiver,
See the smile on Jesus’ face.
We can’t make Him love us more,
His love flows like an endless shore,
We should know it to the core,
His favor can’t be earned.
And nothing bad we ever do,
Can diminish mercy, tried and true,
Never lessens love for you,
It’s the best thing we have learned.
Grace that saves and grace that heals,
Grace that grabs us in the feels,
Gives us life His Spirit seals,
It comes at the right time.
Grace that tells us we’re okay,
Grace that shows us God’s best way,
Grace that keeps us strong to stay,
It’s there for every climb.
“So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive His mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” (Hebrews 4:16, NLT)
To come boldly and ask God for anything presupposes you understand His invitation through Jesus Christ. Unworthy as we are, the great Creator of the universe has spoken and show such love for us, that we are welcome at all time to ask for His help. He is a gracious god who response by giving us the grace we need when we need it the most. This is powerful and life-changing. it has absolutely nothing to do with our performance or anything we think we might or might not deserve. It is based entirely on the redemptive work of Jesus on our behalf and the unmerited favor of God. Accept the grace. You’ll be glad you did.
Lord, help us receive and celebrate Your grace, in Jesus’ name.
