"Crazy"

When life is gettin’ crazy,

And the chaos interrupts,

Direction seems too hazy,

And everything disrupts.

There are things to remember,

That’ll help you to get through,

And it’s all about surrender,

To what you know is true.

First, the Lord is with you,

And none can separate,

The love is there to lift you,

And He can recreate,

How you will approach this,

What your response will be,

To know you can’t control this,

But seek His help, you see.

Second, you have allies,

Who pray and have your back,

Get ahold of those guys,

To help with this attack.

Don’t  be an old lone ranger,

‘Cause that’s no way to be,

Life has too much danger,

To fight alone, you see.

Third, and please remember,

This, too, my friend will pass,

Whether fatigue or temper,

The grace will far outlast.

It won’t always feel this way,

Or be the way it is,

You are going to be okay,

‘Cause you are always His.

“Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials…” (James 1:2, NAS)

James reminds us that we are going to have trials. It’s just a fact of life. Sometimes the trials come as a result of a bad decision in the past. Sometimes it has nothing to do with our choice, but someone else’s that affects us. Sometimes it’s an out and out attack from the devil. In any case, the advice of the poem helps us to count it all joy when the trials come. Remember God is with us, people will help us and the trial will pass. God uses everything that happens to build character and teach us to trust God. When endurance is perfected we will lack nothing. Count on it.

Lord, help us rely on You when we encounter various trials, in Jesus’ name.
