"Ride or Die"

Don’t know about you, but ‘fore I’m through,

I want to get lots more done,

In all we do, I know that it’s true,

There’s worship, work, and fun.

Life’s more thrive than just survive,

Abundant life He said,

Is what I choose, old self to lose,

Before they find me dead.

We bear the stresss and its duress,

We deal with pain a lot,

They say it makes or breaks you,

Shows how much grace you got.

It’s ride or die, till no more try,

And God sees all our strive,

It’s in His hands, and by His plans,

And none get out alive.

Unless of course, we see that horse,

Come flyin’ through the sky,

The King of kings His kingdom brings,

Your redemption draweth nigh.

“When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” (Luke 21:28, NIV)

Jesus spoke of how things would be before His return. Luke chapter twenty-one describes some of these events. But in the end it is not evil that wins. The darkness will get darker and darker, but ultimately the light will prevail. Paul later explained that if we’re alive when Jesus returns we will be caught up to meet Him in the air. If we die before Jesus comes we will be absent from the body but present with the Lord. Either way, the Lord knows our destiny. Jesus is Lord, Righteousness wins. Look up.

Lord, help us ready ourselves for Your return, in Jesus’ name.
