"The End"

The stormy winds are blowing,

The dark chaos keeps growing,

And all who care keep knowing,

That the lines are being drawn.

The sons of darkness bolder,

The love of all grown colder,

And believers have to shoulder,

The way the world has gone.

Surprised not for a minute,

The Good Book says we’re in it,

No President or Senate,

     Can find solutions now.

Because these are the last days,

The Bible taught it always,

The Spirit’s strength with us stays,

     We’ll overcome somehow.

And if we have to suffer,

Our trials will make us tougher,

And every sister, brother,

     Will armor up with light.

No matter persecution,

God will bring retribution,

And our small contribution,

Will see us through all right.

The weights will drop off from us,

As we walk in His promise,

His Spirit is upon us,

     We’ll follow till the end.

The reign of God our future,

Will cure the world’s dull stupor,

We think not later, sooner,

     When Jesus comes again.

“But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that the day should surprise you like a thief. You are all sons of the light and sons of the day.” (1 Thessalonians 5:4-5, NIV)

No one knows when Jesus will come again. Jesus said we cannot know the day or hour, but the scriptures clearly say that the season of His coming will be characterized by the things we are seeing today. This scripture and others like it tell us that we will not be surprised by His coming because we have been given discernment to read the signs of the times. That said, if the Lord tarries and we die before He comes, so be it. We’re ready! But as we get closer it is incumbent that we obey the Lord’s assignment in our lives. We must do all we can, with the Lord’s help, to extend His Kingdom’s rule no matter the cost. Even so, come Lord Jesus!

Lord, help us to follow You till the end, in Jesus’ name.
