"Beauty"

Look, and you’ll see beauty,

Up above and ‘cross the land,

Often it’s breath-taking,

Magnificent and grand.

Both sunrise and sunset,

With a million, brilliant hues,

The wonders of each season,

From earth’s rotation cues.

The rise and fall of ocean waves,

The endless blues and green,

The whisper of the stars above,

A million wishes seen.

The jagged mountain peaks of snow,

The canyons and the streams,

The stark grandeur of deserts,

The jungle’s happy screams.

The creatures roaming everywhere,

The birds upon the wing,

The swimming things in darkest deep,

To God attention bring.

God must love the beautiful,

‘Cause everything’s adorned,

But above all that He made,

We’re in His image formed.

Male and female, all mankind,

The beauty of His touch,

Created, loved and then redeemed,

His mercy is so much.

So your next view of beauty,

Is there to draw you in,

To the beauty of the holy,

It’s how it’s always been.

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” (Ephesians 2:10, NLT)

Grace completes God’s creative work in us. We are all created in God’s image, but that image is distorted by sin. When we receive the gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. that image is restored and we are transformed into new creations in Christ. God then works in and through us to perfect His saving work. We become the masterpiece He intends through the work of the Holy Spirit. We are led into the beauty of our destiny and purpose, and all that we were created to be.

Lord, lead us into all that You intend, in Jesus’ name.
