"Beauty"
Sometimes in early mornin’,
When the wind is breezin’ cool,
And I ponder the adornin’,
Of God’s nature and His rule.
I think of outdoor blessing,
And the beauty of it all,
And soon I am confessing,
That it fills me with God’s call.
To come and see the next thing,
That He tells me not to miss,
The wonder when the birds sing,
And the butterflies’ light kiss.
The surprises that await us,
They relect the Maker’s heart,
And He will not forsake us,
But will always do His part.
To reveal to us the beauty,
That fills the earth below,
And point above to heaven,
When all of us will know,
The pleasure of His presence,
And the beauty of His reign,
And the chorus of His praises,
Forever and again.
“I will extol You, my God, my King, and I will bless Your name forever and ever.” (Psalm 145:1, NAS)
Creation praises and we should, too. Eternity holds more wonderful things than we can imagine, but one of the greatest is the worship. This life, in a very real sense, is simply a rehearsal for what is to come. Since we will spend forever praising God, we should spend this life thankfully. Everything that is beautiful reflects His beauty, and every blessing points to the Blesser. Get your praise on.
Lord, help us live thankfully in anticipation of what we will do forever, in Jesus’ name.
