"Believe"

We cannot prove but still believe,

Salvation comes when we receive,

The devil still tries to deceive,

But Jesus died for all.

And on the third day raised again,

Just as the Scriptures said back when,

Life is changed when He comes in,

He rose and when we call,

The Spirit of the Lord makes real,

The living Christ and you will feel,

Eternal life, He sets His seal,

The Spirit gives new birth.

The glory of the Lord come down,

To drive away the devil’s frown,

And fill our hearts with heaven’s sound,

The best life on this earth.

And when we die no need to fear,

‘Cause even then the Lord is near,

Assurance given, listen here,

Our death is just a door,

To that fair place He has prepared,

And that’s the Good News we have shared,

Thank God He shows how much He cared,

We’ll cross to heaven’s shore.

“And when you believed in Christ, He identified you as His own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom He promised long ago…” (Ephesians 1:13, NLT)

But for the work of the Holy Spirit, faith would be just an intellectual agreement with the truth that Jesus died for us and was raised from the dead. But when the Holy Spirit convinces us that Jesus’ death and resurrection happened to personally save us, everything changes. We experience God’s grace because it is delivered by the Holy Spirit. He, who has always been with us, comes to live within us, and our bodies become His temple. He seals our faith, assures our forgiveness, and becomes the first installment of God’s presence on the way to His eternal presence in heaven. The Spirit is given to all who believe in Jesus, and we believe in Jesus because of the Spirit’s work in our hearts.

Lord, seal us by Your Spirit’s power, in Jesus’ name.
