"Final Harvest"

I don’t know how we miss the point,

It’s Jesus through and through,

And if it’s not, who will anoint,

What we are called to do.

He claimed to be the only way,

But we find other roads,

And when we do we go astray,

The ministry implodes.

Deception and apostasy,

A lazy, lukewarm bunch,

Lies that blind, we cannot see,

We’re the devil’s easy lunch.

Don’t follow that old antichrist,

Don’t let the darkness in,

‘Cause if we do we’ll pay the price,

The way it’s always been.

Bishops who don’t say what’s true,

Shepherds who hurt the sheep,

Leaderless we lost the glue,

God’s word so bold and deep.

I’m no prophet, just a man,

But one who wants to hear,

All about the Lord God’s plan,

And pray He brings it near.

To raise up those who love the Lord,

A remnant Spirit-filled,

Who take the word the Spirit’s sword,

And by His grace they wield.

And lift up all the Lord has said,

And what He says today,

Let the dead bury the dead,

Yield to the Spirit’s sway.

Set on fire the ones who stand,

And help us to hold on,

Until revival ‘cross the land,

Turns those not too far gone.

Help us to the end be true,

Revive Your church again,

Lead in all You want to do,

Final harvest gather in.

“Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest.” (Matthew 9:38, NAS)

If the harvest was great when Jesus spoke these words, it is exponentially greater now. He is Lord of the harvest and tells His disciples to pray the Lord will send workers. This shows us a couple of important things. One is that our prayers make a huge difference. Two, the Lord is the One who sends people to take the harvest, no us. Our prayers sensitize us to God’s will, and positions us to be sent to do God’s work. If there ever was a time to do it, it’s now.

Lord, send workers into Your harvest, in Jesus’ name.
