"God-Space"
Gone are the old times,
We thought of them sublime,
And now it’s a steep climb,
To restore what we lost.
To love God and nation,
And all His creation,
God’s word, our foundation,
All too often we’ve tossed.
But I see a hunger,
A deep, heart-felt wonder,
From both older and younger,
For a far simpler life.
Before there was high tech,
That caused such a train wreck,
Bounced back the love check,
And caused so much strife.
What we need Is God-space,
And fill it with His grace,
A break from the rat race,
And throw care to the wind.
There’s a new life a-waiting,
It’s not switch and baiting,
But the Spirit creating,
The adventure begins.
I can smell saddle leather,
And God breaking our tether,
And a coming together,
Of those with a thirst.
They value the old times,
And live by the old lines,
And are praying they will find,
What God says comes first.
“So after you have suffered a little while, He will restore, support and strengthen you…” (1 Peter 5:10, NLT)
Sometimes we suffer because we have made righteous choices. Other times our suffering is caused by the harvest of bad seeds sown. In either case, God promises not to let us go. He will teach us when we suffer, and then give us a break-through of restoration, support and strength. He knows what it will take to return us to a place where we acknowledge His Lordship and seek the Kingdom first and above all. When we do, God’s provision is unleashed.
Lord, please restore, support and strengthen us, in Jesus’ name.
