"Jesus Saves"

They can’t steal your joy and peace,

Though they might often try,

And that’s because of your release,

From all who wonder why,

You stand tall above the fray,

‘Cause Jesus makes it so,

And deep inside you are okay,

The Spirit lets you know.

The Bible says to have no fear,

Though winds blow long and hard,

And at times we’ll shed a tear,

No doubt we’re battle-scarred.

God’s armor is our best defense,

Against the darkness strong,

And we have known it ever since,

God showed us we belong,

To Him who conquered death and hell,

And rose up from the dead,

The crucified we now can tell,

The news He lives instead.

And by the Spirit in His name,

We walk in victory,

And, Lord knows, our lives we gain,

For this world’s lost to see.

So never listen to the ones,

Who say you don’t deserve,

The blessings that our Christ has won,

But by grace have the nerve,

To point to Him who makes it so,

Put satan on the run,

And tell the story all can know,

That Jesus saves each one.

“…Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God…” (1 Peter 1:23, NLT)

Jesus died and was raised to give us a new life. This new life outlasts the limitations of time and space, and extends into a future eternity. And this future is totally secure because it depends entirely upon God’s promise through Jesus Christ. No matter what others may say or the devil may accuse, we are guaranteed by the very words of God that nothing will ever change this reality. It is sealed eternally by the blood of Jesus and His victory over death and hell. No matter the naysayers, critics, or voices of unbelief. His voice trumps them all.

Lord, help us stand strong in the security of Your grace, in Jesus’ name.
