"Kingdom All"

Christ’s Kingdom all and everything,

Our first priority,

From now till then, we’re born again,

For all eternity,

And like the sower with the seed,

His truth for every heart,

Some will fail while some prevail,

The Spirit does His part.

The treasure hidden in a field,

The pearl of greatest cost,

To sell all out and there’s no doubt,

You won’t care what you lost.

And like a little child we come,

As humble as can be,

For Jesus’ claim, the servant’s fame,

And Kingdom greatness see.

Forgiveness drives us, well it should,

For freely our King gives,

We do the same in Jesus’ name,

Through us grace strongly lives.

The righteousness and peace and joy,

Found with the Spirit’s power,

Shows He’s the King of everything,

And fills us hour by hour.

So Kingdom come and reign in me,

And let God’s will be done,

We gladly say and always pray,

Until our race is won.

“But seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33, NAS)

Jesus taught His disciples that they did not have to worry about their everyday needs or the threat of a bad tomorrow. Why? Because God knew their needs and if they would seek His Kingdom above all else He would take care of them. Sounds simple, yet no less profound. The world flounders in fear and insecurity as the kingdoms of men compete for power. Even the winners lose if they fail to acknowledge who’s really in charge. The only security comes with the peace of surrender to God’s rule in our lives. When His reign is our first priority and His will is our delight, we are indeed fearless.

Lord, help us seek Your Kingdom above all else, in Jesus’ name.
