"Never Doubt"
So far out where, the wind I swear,
Will blow you plumb away,
We horseback go and find, you know,
It’s better not to stay,
Behind closed doors with inside chores,
When weather is a threat,
We must throw, a leg you know,
And gather cattle yet.
Closer in, a calving pen,
A place where they give birth,
Watch ‘em close, care the most,
Because of what they’re worth.
Birth and life, wind like a knife,
We do all that we can,
Pray and try, so none will die,
Till spring comes once again.
The Savior calls us one and all,
To go, the gather seek,
No matter wind or mess they’re in,
Or struggling, sick or weak.
We’re sent as He, will always be,
The Spirit is our guide,
To find the lost and those storm-tossed,
And even those who hide.
The Spirit birth, eternal worth,
It gives to every soul,
And thankfully, we often see,
A miracle unfold.
So never doubt what we’re about,
What God has called us to,
The living Lord, with Spirit’s sword,
Will show us what to do.
“We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us…” (2 Corinthians 5:20, NIV)
We represent the Lord in the great harvest of souls that happens between His first and second coming to earth. The Lord has not called us to play it safe in any way, but to proactively seek those who have not received Jesus as Lord and Savior. Our best strategy is building relationships of love so that our message can be more readily heard. The Lord actually makes His appeal through us, as the Spirit fills and lives in us. The only reason we have not yet been called home to Jesus is because He intends for us to bring more people with us.
Lord, send us into Your harvest, in Jesus’ name.
