"No Way"

I’m not, no way that’s happening,

Was just the way I felt,

But then I heard the Spirit,

And to the ground I knelt.

It’s happened way too often,

When I said there’s no way,

God will interrupt us,

Make unlikely quite okay.

And what you think you cannot do,

He’ll supply the grace,

If we’re humble and accept it,

Puts a smile upon His face.

Often I couldn’t see it,

But then when I look back,

At every single twist and turn,

God gave me what I lack.

And when He wants to make a change,

You’d best just flow and go,

Because the unexpected,

Is something He makes so.

And then you wonder why you doubt,

When things don’t go your way,

Or you think that’s impossible,

Or all that you can say,

Is I’m sick and tired of trying,

And it feels like God is late,

But all that’s really happening,

Is we’re learning how to wait.

The break-through and the miracle,

Can happen, God knows when,

And He’s our Abba-Father,

We’re His adopted kin.

So don’t fear change, my brother,

And sister, don’t you fear,

The Lord above is leading,

His Spirit, always near.

“Now all glory to God, who is able through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” (Ephesians 3:20, NLT)

Glory to God, indeed! This verse is meant to encourage us when we wonder what God is up to. Or if we are feeling like maybe we can’t keep going. Or question whether anything will ever change for us. Truth is, God is able, and often surprises us when we expect it the least. When we think, “there’s just no way,” there is and then it happens, and we are amazed! If you’re in one of those hard seasons and you’ve been there awhile, remember that God is able to do more than you can currently imagine. No one knows for sure all the why’s and when’s, but God is moving and we can count on it.

Lord, help us give You glory because we know You’re able to do more than we can even imagine, in Jesus’ name.
