"Revive"

I’m in need of something more,

Not sure what God has in store,

But asking Him the Spirit pour,

On us and all we love.

Revival breaks so far away,

But the Holy Spirit’s here today,

We humble ourselves down and pray,

Please send the Spirit’s dove.

Those who hunger and who thirst,

Ready to give up their worst,

Get the blessing, break the curse,

Receive empowerment.

Rivers, wind and fire will flow,

All the Spirit, this we know,

Causing us to worship so,

Receive the Word He sent.

Draw near to Him,

From where we’ve been,

Our part is to just press in,

Revival is His gift.

Our hearts we raise,

To give Him praise,

Both now today and yes, always,

All boats on this tide lift.

The Jesus time,

Shifts paradigm,

With life’s hard climb,

Replaced by love’s great flow.

With Him as Lord,

The threefold cord,

His name adored,

Let everybody know.

“Won’t you revive us again, so Your people can rejoice in You?” (Psalm 85:6, NLT)

Any time and every time God pours out His Spirit in a revival movement, people rejoice in the Lord! That is what is currently happening at Asbury in Kentucky and many other places across the world. In fact I know of no great awakening that was not accompanied by fervent, Spirit-filled worship. The focus shifts to Jesus and we yearn to celebrate His grace. Jesus characterized authentic worship and worshipers with two things: Spirit and truth. When revival happens, Spirit and truth surge in a great wave of power, washing away all idolatry in its flow. Are we hungry and thirsty for such a demonstration? If so, we may be sure He will bring to us exactly what we need.

Lord, revive us again, in Jesus’ name.
