"Texas Home"

Can’t tell you all the reasons,

That I ended up out here,

I never really planned it,

But it is very clear,

That I belong in Texas,

And Texas is my home,

I’ve been lots of places,

But feel no need to roam.

I never felt it mattered,

But I’ve had a change of heart,

Where is so important,

And now I play a part,

In what the Lord is doing here,

To heal folks and to save,

The Holy Spirit’s moving,

To show what Jesus gave.

And He’s the One who tells me,

He gives to me this place,

And I pray to be faithful,

To always seek His face.

Day by day I labor,

With the livestock and the land,

To create a haven,

Where folks can take a stand.

For all that really matters,

And what God says is right,

To hear the Spirit speaking,

And fill our hearts with light.

The Good Lord is in Texas,

Of course He’s everywhere,

Find the place He’s leading you,

And you will find Him there.

“The land You have given me is a pleasant land…” (Psalm 16:6, NLT)

The physical location that you call home is not the most important thing in life. In fact, being in God’s perfect will is what matters most. However, the two often intersect. If you aren’t living where you’re supposed to be, it can be very challenging. The question becomes: Are we willing to go wherever He wants us to go? That willingness and availability will lead you to the door that God is opening.

Lord, help us be exactly where You want us to be, in Jesus’ name.
