"They Came"

They came from all directions,

North, south, east and west,

And we could see them coming,

And prayed we’d do our best,

When the people got there,

To see what they could see,

It was for just one reason,

And that was to get free.

And here’s the Liberator,

Jesus is His name,

Yesterday, today, tomorrow,

He always is the same.

Uniquely loves His children,

Knows all but does not judge,

Gives healing to the hungry,

Breaks strongholds that won’t budge.

And from the streams of people,

Pours forth a mighty flood,

An army of the righteous,

Washed clean by His own blood.

It is the Church He’s building,

Touched by the living fire,

Their message is the Gospel,

With His strength will not tire.

Faces white and with all colors,

Brown, yellow, black and red,

Each heart branded forever,

With the words that Jesus said.

From every tribe and nation,

With every spoken tongue,

Hell cannot defeat them,

Their victory is won.

And when this mighty army,

Rises to the sky,

The King who comes to greet them,

Will never say good-bye.

If you can’t see the picture,

If you don’t know it’s true,

We offer You His mercy,

And invite you to come, too.

There’s room for every doubter,

Who struggles to be free,

Come and ride beside us,

Who you are once was me.

“…Your blood has ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation…” (Rev. 5:9, NLT).

The great harvest is happening as we speak. God is gathering people from every tribe to glorify Him. The gospel is being preached to nearly every people group, and soon all will hear. What does this mean? It means the final sign of the coming of Jesus is being fulfilled. Jesus said the end would come when all the nations had heard the Good News of the Kingdom. That time is fast-approaching. It is time for God’s people to put aside distractions and focus on what matters most. Fulfilling the Great Commission and the Great Commandment is our mandate, and there is perhaps no greater time in history to be alive! Disciple the nations, love the Lord your God, and love one another! Believe it, because it’s true.

Lord, help us fulfill the Great Commission and the Great Commandment, in Jesus’ name.
