"Revival at a Lope"

Did you pray for revival,

Yes, revival at a lope,

Cause all can see our nation,

Is on a slippery slope.

We came loose from our moorings,

Of decency and law,

Our hearts have grown much colder,

Need God’s fire to unthaw.

Return to God and family,

And what we know is right,

Revealed right in the Bible,

The fellowship of light.

Show love to one another,

Past fault to see the need,

Forgive and be proactive,

To plant the Kingdom seed.

Lead someone to Jesus,

Pray they will be saved,

Break down all the strongholds,

Point them to God who gave,

The hearts of all the fathers,

They to their children turn,

The hearts of sons and daughters,

Will from the fathers learn,

The way to life abundant,

The wealth of God’s supply,

Seek first His great Kingdom,

On His providence rely.

Lord, please send revival,

Send it at a lope,

‘Cause, Lord, we’re right down to it,

And almost out of rope.

“Then times of refreshment will come from the presence of the Lord…” (Acts 3:20, NLT)

It’s a wonderful thing when God sends the refreshing power of His Holy Spirit. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom, according to the apostle Paul. The liberating, life-changing Spirit moves upon people’s hearts to turn them away from sin and selfishness and to the Lord. This is the divine work, and cannot be birthed or controlled by human beings. This is the key to changing our nation for the good. The bigger picture can change when God gets into the smaller picture. The more people turn to Him, the more likely it is that the Lord’s refreshing power affects a lot of people.

Lord, send the refreshing power of Your Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ name.
