"Voice"
I saw it from a long way off,
And wondered what it was,
Horizons far, the distant star,
They called to me because,
I didn’t know where I should be,
If I was meant to go,
So insecure, no certain cure,
It was so hard to know.
And then a voice so clear to me,
Spoke with love what’s true,
Said my name, made the claim,
And told me what to do.
No need to ever doubt again,
I’m standing here with you,
Day by day, this is the way,
And never misconstrue.
Play it, son, and play it now,
Don’t ever hesitate,
Boldly run, straight toward the Son,
Now’s not the time to wait.
“Your ears will hear a word behind you, ‘This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left.” (Isaiah 30:20, NAS)
The Lord wants to make it clear to us what we need to do and where we need to go. He is not playing games, nor is confusion a factor He tolerates. Significantly fewer people seem willing to search and find His will, opting rather to go with the flow of secular idolatry. Still, His will is not a complicated maze but a path upon which He leads His kids.
Lord, lead us to know and do Your perfect will, in Jesus’ name.
