"Wave"

They say there’s weeping in the willows,

And laughter on the wind,

And when I try to listen,

Out a-horseback once again.

The trees lift up their voices,

And the flowers rise and sing,

And all of God’s creation,

Will praises to Him bring.

Not to mention rocks and mountains,

With their splendor and their weight,

The Lord says they will cry out,

If the rest of us are late.

But we won’t let that happen,

‘Cause we’re here to lift our hearts,

Our mouths with praises ringing,

And we will sing our parts.

And don’t forget the water,

The rippling brooks and streams,

The mighty, winding river,

Splashing praises as she sings.

In the harmony of worship,

And the symphony of praise,

Earth and heaven like the ocean,

A wave of worship raise.

“You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands…” (Isaiah 55:12, NIV)

The creation worships just as it was designed to, and points us to the Creator. We are invited to praise the Lord with all the rest, and when we do, we align with His peace, power and perspective. He will give us the Holy Spirit so we can faithfully praise the Lord in and through all things. The worship we witness coming from nature motivates us to consistently, faithfully and proactively worship the Lord. It’s in those golden, sometimes silent and profound moments we are most aware of His presence with us.

Lord, help us worship You with all our hearts, in Jesus’ name.
