"Flight"

I’ve booked my flight,

When ends this fight,

I know I’m heaven bound.

And you can, too,

If only you,

Receive the grace I’ve found.

Not by works done,

Or prizes won,

That books for us a seat.

But Jesus died,

And I’ll confide,

You can’t His blessing beat.

It’s simple faith,

That throws the gate,

So you can step right through.

Just trust in Him,

Surrender then,

It’s all you have to do.

Your life will change,

He’ll rearrange,

And come into your heart.

From dark to light,

To day from night,

You’ll never be apart.

So book your flight,

And get this right,

No uncertainty or fear.

Assured you’ll be,

His grace sets free,

You can get there from here.

“And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, He will certainly save us from God’s condemnation…” (Romans 5:9, NLT)

The old song rings true: “What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus…” Perhaps the most wonderful and, at the same time, most offensive claim of the gospel is that I cannot solve my sin problem. To those who accept Jesus’ blood as their saving grace, the news is wonderful indeed! To those who think it’s foolishness, well, they miss out. These are not multiple-choice options. Either one accepts the offer, or not…How can God then be accused of unfairness? If Jesus died for all, all are equally and unconditionally loved, and grace is there for the taking. If one, for any reason, does not book the flight, the implications are obvious. Choose wisely.

Lord, wash us clean with the blood of Jesus, in His name we pray.
